Indicating beads are 3-5 mm in size and have a vibrant blue color. Simply check the color of the indicating silica gel beads to see if they have changed from blue to pink. Once they turn pink, you can easily reactivate them by placing them in the oven for 0.5 to 3 hours at 200°F-250°F (not over 250°F). Actual reactivation time may be shorter depending on the condition of the silica gel beads. Remember to check the color of the silica gel beads for proper reactivation.

When the gel has absorbed approximately 8 % percent of its weight in water the colored crystals will turn from blue to pink making an easy visual indicator of whether the gel has become saturated with moisture.
